Bauma 2016 - 6
Mitra

Mitra displayed this interesting combination between 2 halls. The tractor is an Iveco Trakker 420 6x6. It is coupled to a B-double trailer combination, which means 1 trailer has got a 2nd trailer connected to him. Both trailers have got sideway tippers on them. The tandems of the tippers are both rated at 50 tons, which gives a loading capacity of 100 tons or 60 m3.

Scania

Outside this interesting Scania P400 6x6 was parked. It is destined for Syberia and will be working in temperatures as low as -50° C. It is equiped with 16.00R20 tyres and has got an Opticruise gearbox. The tipper body is made by Istrail/Nummi from Finnland. This trucks has got a 9 ton front axle and a 26 ton tandem.

Inside stood this P400 6x4 with a Wielton tipper body. It may look light, but it is equiped with a 9 ton front axle and a 30 ton tandem.

Tatra

Not the heaviest tipper of the Bauma, but technically one of the interesting machines. This Tatra Phoenix in Euro 6 version with 510 hp Paccar engine is driven on all axles, that makes it a 10x10! The first 2 and the last axle are steeered. Those 3 axles all have air suspension and 14.00R20 tyres. The tandem (axle 3 & 4) is equiped with double mounted 325-95 R24 tyres, these axles have a combination of leaf- and air suspension. The axle loads are 9+9+16+16+10, giving a total weight of 60 tons. A VS-Mont halfpipe tipper is installed, behind the engine hangs an Allison gearbox.

Volvo

At the stand of Volvo stood the largest model from their ADT range, the A60H, giving about 55 ton capacity.

BAS Mining Trucks

BAS Mining Trucks, a Volvo dealer that also develops trucks for mining based on Volvo's, was present again this year. At the corner of the stand stood this Volvo FMX540 10x4. It can carry 55 tons, therefore it has gotten an additional 13 ton axle. The body is built by AKJ, it doesn't tip but it pushes the load out which is safer on uneven grounds. The engine is connected to a Powertronic powershift gearbox.

The new top model is this 6-axled Volvo FH16-750! The base is a Volvo FH 8x4 chassis with 12 ton front axles and 20 ton rears. The rear has gotten an additional driven axle from Sisu, rated at 20 tons. This was placed before the tandem, this axle is steered. Behind the tandem they installed the 6th axle, a non driven but steered 20 ton unit. Both additional axles are steered with hydraulic cylinders. All 4 rear axles have hydraulic suspension, the front axles have parabolic springs. This chassis is rated for 104 tons total weight and 75 tons capacity. It has got a 37,5 m3 AJK tipperbody. The 750 hp 16 liter engine is coupled to an I-Shift gearbox. The converserion was done by Terberg Techniek.
