Volvo FH16-750 - Effer 2055
Kran Böck could already be seen at the
Nufam with an Effer 955. Zink at the Bauma now showed their awesome new Effer 2055.
The 2055 is the largest Effer model that can still fold down sideways and as you can see here, it needs more than a cab length for that. But therefore this crane is able to lift loads of up to 42 tons at a 2,7 meters radius.
The truck is built as a tractor unit, without jib it weighs around 30 tons. The balheads at the rear can hold an flatbed extension, so that it becomes a normal truck.
The base is a Volvo FH16-750 in 8x4 version, so with a 16 liter engine with 750 hp.
Kran Böck is part of Böck Kabelplug (cable plow). Matching to the cable plowing, this unit will afterwards install the transformer park where the units will weigh up to 20 tons.
This truck is also finished with a lot of stainless steel.
During the show this truck was demonstrated. With the 8S version, this crane reach 19,4 meters with 6,1 tons. The HD jib in 6S version can lift a maximum load of 8,1 tons and offers a maximum outreach of 31,63 meters with 1,8 tons.
The front outriggers can handle up to 50 tons, giving this crane stability in all directions.
Here is a video of this truck.
