Bauma 2025 - Tadano
Tadano showed their portfolio of material. This is the new AC 5.120H-1, a 120 ton hybrid crane. The uppercarriage is equiped with batteries and an electric motor that powers the pumps, which enables full electric lifting operation. A generator is installed in the undercarriage to the diesel engine, it can be used to reload the batteries in case there is no external power available at the site. With the 70 kWh battery operation times of about 4 to 6,3 hours are possible.
This is the new AC 5.250L-2 with an extreme long boom of 79 meter. Together with a jib up to 30 meter, it can reach working heights of up to 109 meter. On the road the axle loads are at 12 ton. The maximum ballast is 80 ton in 11 parts, with a maximum weight of 10 ton for some parts.
Another option for emission free operation is this e-Pack. It is a small container with an electric motor that drives the pumps. It is, as can be seen here, connected to special hydraulic connections on the back of the crane. The e-Pack runs on a 400V-63A connection, or with reduced power can also use a 32A connection. The crane can transport the pack himself at the back of the undercarriage.
The largest crane at this years Bauma was this CC 78.1250-1 lattice boom crawler crane, the succesor of the CC 68.1250-1 crawler crane. With the boom combination for windmills it can lift 140 tons up to 224,5 meters of height.
Here a better view at the wide undercarriage of this 1250 ton crane. The uppercarriage is being driven by 2 Mercedes engines. They also installed a small 17kW diesel engine that supports the heating/cooling of the cab and lighting etc in case the other engines aren't running.
The largest telescopic crane here is this AC 7.450-1 for Vernazza from Italy.
This is a 450 ton crane with an 80 meter long base boom at 7 axles.
The maximum ballast is 150 tons.
The maximum length of the jib is 81 meters. The 450 is by no means small, but beside this 1250 ton crawler crane is suddenly looks quite small.
Tadano also showed their RT cranes, this is a GR-1000EX-4. It is a 100 ton crane with a 51 meter boom and has up to 17,7 meter of jib. The undercarriage has got 4x4 drive and steering on both axles, the maximum speed is 18 km/h.
And here we see the same crane, but now with electric drive, the Evolt eGR-1000XLL-1. It is driven by 2 electric motors, 1 per axle of 100kW each. Beside that an e-PTO was installed that drives the pumps for the uppercarriage. The undercarriage also holds the 226 kWh battery.
Tadano - PM Gru
In the beginning of this year Tadano announced that they had taken over Manitex, which is why now also the PM cranes from Italy are part of the Tadano group. On the Bauma they introduced these 2 new models, the PM130 (middle) and PM83.5 (right).
The PM130039SP has got a 9x extending boom with 21,7 meter reach with 3,45 ton capacity. With the 7x extending jib, the J2217.25, a total outreach of 36,3 meter with 700kg is possible. (39,9 mtr/450kg with 2 manual extensions). The installation length is quite compact with 2,09 meter, which is possible by installing the crane on top of the outriggers.
The PM83527 SP at the left reaches up to 18,15 meter with 3,35 tons, or 31,1 meter with 800kg at the J1816.20 jib.
Tadano - Valla
By taking over Manitex, the brand Valla also came into the Tadano group. Now the group can now offer a really wide range of crane types. This is the Valla V130R, a 13 ton pick & carry crane at the stand of NMG Italia, a rental company for indoor lifting equipment.
This is the Valla V100RX, a 10 ton pick & carry crane with an extendable chassis. This one was shown at the PM/Valla stand.
At the Tadano stand they showed another one, now in the Tadano colors.
And finally this Valla V130RX, a 13 ton version, also at the Tadano stand. All displayed Valla cranes are electrically driven.
