This Scania of Bautrans stood at the border near Lindau.

It is coupled to a Goldhofer 3-bed-5 lowloader.

Nowadays the Bautrans trucks also carry the Felbermayr livery, but still have their own name on the cab as well.

It's an 8x4 tactor. This is the largest R-serie cab, only the S-series offers more space. The cab is extended with side flaps that cover the tower.

The tower behind the cab holds everything that didn't fit to the chassis anymore, like dieseltanks, air barrels, batteries and some storage.

The Goldhofer STZ-VP axles can carry up to 12 tons, which means 96 ton total load. With a maximum 5th wheel load of 30 tons a total trailer load of 126 tons is possible.

The loaded Siemens transformer weighs 83 tons according to the description.

Again the tower, this side holds 2 storage compartments.

A nice combination that, judging by the shield on the bumper, was on it's way to Italy.
