Visit Skaks 1 - Erkin cranes
The fleet of Skaks from Rødekro (DK) contains several Volvo's with Erkin cranes. They where delivered via Skaks Kranimport. This is the heaviest in the fleet with a Volvo FM 10x4 as a base.
On this Volvo FM stands a Erkin ER455000L-8 crane. This 8x extending crane can lift a maximum loaf of 92 tons at 4,6 meters or an equaly impressive 13,3 tons at 22,3 meters. A 6x extending jib gives a total outreach of 46 meters where still 1,5 tons can be lifted. A 2nd jib maximizes the outreach to 52,4 meters with 260 kg capacity.
Big outriggers at the rear provide stability in this direction. Also note the brackets that are welded to the rear outriggers, they can hold special indoor axles.
Here we see those axles on the trailer. They are mounted to the rear outriggers and offer the ability ot drive the truck with a heavy load in the hook, as long as it hangs directly behind the truck. This is a cool pick & carry feature for very narrow situations.
The trailer also carries the ballast, 17,6 tons in total.
It's a 3-axled HFR drawbar trailer, a manufacter in the same town as Skaks, Rødekro.
After 10 years of work it is stil in service, and it's still an impressive crane.
This truck normaly also pulls a drawbar trailer for all the extra parts, like ballast and jib.
This Volvo FM 10x4 with Erkin ER265000L-10 was also
at a Bauma at display.
The crane extends 10x and reaches 27,7 meter far with 4,35 tonnes capacity. The 7x extending jib that is mounted here, gives a total outreach of 49,1 meters with 350kg.
This crane has got the newer ballasting system, that adjusts the ballast radius with arms and hydraulic cylinders.
This Erkin ER180000L-6 was parked in a cramped position.
I don't have the exact data of this crane, but with 6 extensions it should lift up to about 16 meters with a bit over 8 tons of capacity.
And the final truck mounted Erkin on the yard was this Volvo FMX 8x4.
The crane is an Erkin ER150000L-8, it can lift 4 ton at 23 meters.
This crane has been sold and is now in operation with a recovery company in Belgium.
